Hi Tony, Hope all your riders have a memorable weekend, sounds like it will be a great event. I'm really envious of all those sweeping bends and fantastic scenery, what a great place for a ride. I would love to be there but distance and age prevent it. And yes the fishing was for real. 20+ overbreeding Rudd caught on maggot and returned to the river. I had tried netting them but they were too quick, fishing prooved the answer but was too easy.

I was a travelling marshall at the 1975 event and took some Super 8 cine film which I have now on DVD. I am trying to make a video and need some still photos to pad out the short bits of film. Is it possible for me use yours? Also do you know aanyone else with pics?many thanks Dot

Dear Mr Down Whilst we admire the artistic content of your dry stone wall we feel that it's longevity is somewhat questionable. We would highly recomend that you do not put your trust in gravity alone for it's integrity, and that some form of a more permanant fixing be used. To this end we have dispatched 5 gals. (UK) of rapid set Araldite.

Tony - You should try using Opti 2 for your mix - it comes with a built in fuel stabilizer. - I have been selling all the Opti Products for 22 years in Western Canada, and I would guess that at least 40% of all trials riders up here use my oil at 80-1 ratio - You can buy it in various size mix bottles, but most people use the small one gallon mix pouches ( mix to 4 liters for 80-1)
The head office is Interlube International in Blaine Washington, but the product originated in East Germany back in about 1920. check out the web-site and contact Paul at Interlube for more info.

Thanks for this article made me grin. Its a shame the motors got such low miles on it as I'd like too see you rip it to pieces and get your usual guality words to go with it.

Whew,what a totally exhausting spectacle,it fairly makes me tired to read about it.Such punishment ,it is tough to understand why there are so many repeat offenders,especially the older riders,we are supposed to get wiser as we age....

Good to see your still hard at it.
You picked the wrong year to do the pre-65 Scottish. This year, although cold for spectators, was perfect for riding.
The bike also ran perfectly which is always nice.

Tony. All of your stories are great fun,thanks. Im in the same boat as you as far as $$$ and riding time goes. I would like to go to Cotopaxi,but too far and too expensive at this time. Donner will probably be my only 2 trials this year. Thanks Ralph Foster
