THE SIX PACK

THE SIX PACK

THE SIX PACK

You wish !!

The Mountain West 6 Pack

The Mountain West Vintage Schedule for 2013 is “nearly” up and running and at the time of publishing
we were a “6 pack” short of the confirmed dates for the last three doubles of rounds. Finally our
Cleveland OK 2 day has been given the dates of Oct 5/6 so now all we need are those June and July
events to get a ton more sit ups and firm the core of our 6 pack.

OK dates set, 2 bottles gone 4 to go

Here are a couple of pics of some of the Cleveland terrain and I for one hope to see the water/mud if
its suitable as a section.

Yum, yum

Good scope

Natural woodland trials setting

Nothing forthcoming around our ITSA chapter for prospective Trialsmasters so time for another
attempt on Facebook under a “Helpers” guise and…… lo, a veritable chatter of enthusiasm so just
maybe the “push” has found us another Trialsmaster and friend for our June event up near Denver
…..we hope!

Further news, ……. seems the land they wanted to use is NOT available for a 2 Day event so another
maybe takes a nose dive so we are still 2 events adrift in our scheduling sea. With things getting a
little desperate time for another arse kicking request on Facebook tonight and see what that draws.

FREE Trialsmaster kit with every event !

That achieved nothing! ……. so John has picked up the slack and has taken the July event with a
second helping of Turkey Rock. Well that just leaves June ??? Where do we want to go ? We could
use the new land here in Dolores, that I can see from my window, for one day and use the Town Dump
for day 2.

Casey’s land right in the middle of Dolores

The bridge over what maybe a running stream in June joining Casey’s 2 pieces of land

John in a full blown wheelie at the Dolores Town Dump

Then there is Bull Hollow across in UT and another venue at Cedar City in UT that we have been
invited to ride in. It really is up to the Membership to say what they want. Say nothing = get nothing!

Anyhoooo, lets see what we do have for your upcoming entertainment

Date                                               Venue                                 Trialsmaster

Apr 13/14                                                         San Ysidro NM                                  Chris Porter

May 18/19                                                        Turkey Rock CO                                Chuck & Roy Moline

Jun                                                                    TBD                                                     TBD

Jul 13/14                                                          Turkey Rock CO                                John Holbrook

Aug 10/11                                                         Dolores CO                                       Tony Down

NB this event has been selected as an “ITSA” National and it looks like Bob and the TN gang
may join in the fun. Bob is planning on presenting both the “Nubbie” and “Baker” awards which
Mountain West members won in 2012. This will be 2 Days on prime virgin trials land provided
by our own member, Casey, right here in the middle of town. We will ride the parade as before on
the Saturday and then ride our unregistered machines to and from the event with Police blessing!

Aug 31 Sep 1/2                                                Casper WY                                         Dan Straka

Oct 5/6                                                               Cleveland OK                                     Bill Todd

Nov 9/10                                                            Roswell NM                                       John Holbrook

Well there it is, 15 out of the 17 in the frame, only 2 cans/bottles of the 6 pack left in the fridge, who
fancies a couple of cold ones in June?

Couple of cold ones anybody ???

Tony as I recall after your Dolores two day you had several offers of land to use for trials. Maybe some of this new land could be used for a second two day in Dolores.

      Bill,
Casey’s land has more than enough scope for unlimited sections to cover both events. Of course its up to the Membership where they want to ride.

San Ysidro sounds fine to me, in April. Good time to head South from Denver, CO for a 2 day Trials.
